The big ship sails
What a day, sorry abit late but it's been non stop. Was up early , woken by the horses causing a commotion this time and outside in the sunshine watching the baby birds, more starlings and the Great tits have fledged too.
I had spotted a tall ship in the Firth late yesterday evening and after checking on Marine Traffic discovered it was 'LADY of AVENEL ' and had moored up just outside Clachnaharry so when I looked to see if she was on the move this morning I noticed another one coming through, called 'Maybe'. No chance at all of seeing go past the point as it was covered in Haar so we hopped in the car and drove to Muirtown Lochs. Just in time to see this huge tall ship go through the last loch. Amazing to watch and what a ship it must be when in full sail. The Mv Lord of Glens , a cruise ship, was moored just by the loch and having it's decks washed. A lady fed the seagulls cream crackers and one flew off with one sideways in it's beak !
By this time the 'Maybe' was docked at the Muirtown Basin and we walked along to have a look at the cream coloured ship. It was full of youngsters learning the ropes. There were Beautiful reflections in the still water.
We found a tiny craft shop where I found some tartan for the bunting we are making at Brownies.
Floral hall for lunch, home, cuppa and then back to Tore to pick up the material and bits and bobs for the bunting, Home, cut out lots of tartan hearts. Brownies, home, change and then off to a talk about The Black Isle Railway. Which was very interesting and will tell you more tomorrow :) Phew !!
