Don't worry dear...he's only blipping us
After trying the traditional breakfast offering of raw fish, onion, cabbage & beetroot (blurgh!) I opted for something a little more palatable.
Our plans for today involved wanting to go on a boat around the harbour and visiting the sculpture park to the west of the city. This involved getting to grips with the public transport which as it turned out was extremely easy. The Vigeland Sculpture Park was excellent. A vast area of beautiful park with some rather strange sculptures in it. At one point Katy and Sal put on a gymnastics display by continuously cartwheeling down a large hill. A group of about 40 Japanese tourists thought this worthy of filming and applauding which was quite funny.
After a spot of lunch we moved on to the Viking museum which was fascinating. They had three full size long boats and treasures dating from 850ad that had been found in 1905 in a farmers field. The overall condition of this find is amazing and really shows off the detailing with which they decorated everything.
Then, a ferry trip around the harbour and back for an excellent tapas dinner.
We leave Oslo tomorrow for Bergen....a seven hour train ride away....the adventure continues....
