Two young ravens
On the cliffs at Mull Head reserve in Deerness. Nothing as exciting as yesterday's alpine swift today. I saw my first chiffchaff and blackcap of the spring, a nice male, in the little garden of Lighthouses quarry, a couple of arctic skua and about 15 arctic tern, a few puffin on the sea.
These two young ravens were hanging about waiting for the adults to come with some food. Even though they are out of the nest, I think they still look for hand-outs from mum and dad. The adults were further along the cliffs. I saw another raven family along the coast. I noticed that I had uploaded a slightly different shot- this one has more light in the eye of the lower bird and is the shot I meant to upload.
