Storm taking a break from ripping the tassels from his new dog toy. The stuffing is long gone, the squeaker popped and most of the fabric spread far and wide. It cost £3.99 and lasted maybe 20 minutes! The knotted odd socks are fairing much better and would have been thrown away.

Today's walk was along the Cuckoo Trail in the drizzle. Too warm for a coat but soggy without one. We met a few people, with and without their own dogs, who stopped to chat.

Man and collie 1/2 mile in to walk: you've got your hands full

Dogless older couple 2 miles in: you've got your hands full, aren't they sweet

Dogless lady 2.7 miles in: aww, aren't they well behaved

Just goes to show what the right length walk can do.
