Old Man of Beacon

A wood sculpture by Peter Leadbeater near the summit of Beacon Hill. Interesting that this is an interpretation of a local rock formation created by ancient vulcanism. Think the connection to this geology and resulting rock makes this work quite captivating. I see that the artist has a permanent residency on Beacon Hill and this is one of several wood sculptures in the park.
