We're all big fans of Hayao Miyazaki and last weekend we watched his latest film "Ponyo". Brilliant as ever. Today I came home and found Sosuke's boat in our "pool". It is all metal and is powered by a little burning candle inside. Old, clever toy. In the film Ponyo magically enlarges the boat, so together with Sosuke they can use it on the river.
I'm sure we'll be re-watching the film many times.

Warm weekend is approaching, 3 days of 41 C in a row. Not that it's cool now. I can just see myself soaking in this round yellow plastic paddling pool in the back garden.
