To reflect

The reflection pool often catches the painter/photo eye in me - thinking about Memorial day and all those who have passed before - somehow stillness and reflection of great huge skies stopped me in my tracks.

Then saw film named Once Upon a Forest which told a story in the most amazing imagery, both real and drawn, of the cycles of the Amazon Forest, from full forest with its huge canopy to being logged to regrowth and all those growth stages - was the most fitting tribute of Memorial Day that we could have selected but pure accident on our part. The drawings which were layered right over the film imagery remind me of David Hockney's recent work back in England of the countryside there.
