Memorial Day 2014

Tom does a nice job of placing our parents' pictures out on special days. On the left, Tom's folks, Jack and Pat, met in the Air Force in the 1950s. My parents, on the right, were about 10 years older. My dad worked in the World War II shipyards after being turned down from the service because of a broken ear drum, and my mom was a Rosie the Riveter in a Los Angeles war plane manufacturer.

We always remember them, but it's good to remember what they did back in the day.
