Gift#26 - Grandnephew and Grapes
We were woken early this morning by a phone call from my sister in England with the exciting and slightly concerning news of the birth of our grandnephew Zion Samuel after an extremely long labor of 2 days and 2 nights and finally an emergency C-section. Updates later today revealed that all was well with Mother and baby and breast feeding had successfully commenced, much to the relief of all concerned.
As I can't take a photo of little Z, you can visit my sister's blip site - "loving sutton" to see a blip of the little darling in an incubator with all his wires and tubes attached. Poor babe!
But I thought this shot of our first little bunch of grapes on our grapevine had some similarities - with a net around it to protect it from the birds - sometimes something so little needs us to provide a bit of extra protection. (Though what Z needs more than anything is to be by his mother's side, which is happening at last!) The blueberry perched on top is to give a sense of scale.
