Watering system & restored faith

Since my normal Monday evening riding lesson was cancelled due to the bank holiday, I finally managed to go & visit John (Moira’s almost 90 year old father) in Richhill, along with Hazel, Hazel
to see the greenhouse watering system he has devised & thinks would be a good idea for my greenhouse, being a scientist he has worked out how much water would seep in & how to use all sorts of things. I have to get the various bits & see if I can replicate it, a challenge.
He also has trained apple & pear trees on cordons on the walls around his house, an amazing range of varieties & use of wall space.
On the way home, the car felt strange, so I pulled into a filing station, to find a flat front tyre. I started to take the emergency spare tyre & jack, etc. out & a number of very helpful men came over & offered to help, it was amazing. One of them even sent his friends to his house to get a better jack, when they returned & he proceeded to change the wheel, he said it was good practice, as he must be training as a mechanic. It really does restore your faith in people.
