Hanbury Road Baptist Chapel....

During one of my last visits to our Bargoed office I decided to take a walk into the town for old times sake and came across this chapel.

The Chapel has had new plans drawn up to redevelop the listed building into a library or community facility which will be fantastic for the Bargoed residents.

The Hanbury Road Baptist Chapel lies at the heart of the historic core of the town centre. The Chapel is a Grade 2* listed building and is recognised by Cadw as one of the best examples of a building of its kind in Wales. This century old Chapel has much of the original detailing intact and well preserved and, with its classic architecture, is a landmark building on Bargoed’s main shopping street.
