The Sharpness Gloucester Canal

This remarkable canal opened up Gloucester to the sea and still does I believe. It also provides access to the Thames and Severn Canal which provided a waterway across England through the Cotswolds. Today I cycled along its tow bath and then returned to Sharpness on road led by the remarkable Running Backwards and family. The pleasure was all mine.
