Schlegeisspeicher

Today we have booked a private coach to take us up to the Schlegeisspeicher, which is a huge water reservoir. Because it is early in the season the reservoir is not full, as it is drained in the winter to prevent ice damage, and is just beginning to fill now.

We walked around the reservoir to the other end, and some tried to reach the Furtchaglhaus at 2,295m, but it proved to be too difficult as still a lot of snow around.

After our walk we had a very pleasant hour having drinks etc at Dominikushutte before the coach returned to pick us up for the return journey, which was just as spectacular as the outward journey.

Today was a bit cooler than the last few days, and we had some showers. It looks like the weather might break down next week.......but we go home tomorrow!
