Lost in the woods

We went for a walk this afternoon and were decidedly overdressed. I was stewing when the sun came out and it was really warm. I left hubbie in charge of the map but we were way off course. I found the little yellow arrow where we should have turned right on the way home. We landed up in a dense forested area and the walking was rough. It looked as though a tractor or quad bike had churned up the ground. We noticed that there were frog spawn in the puddles, a bit of a problem when they dry up. This upturned tree is one of many that has not survived this year due to the wind and wet. We are going to try the walk again tomorrow.
