Stormy Weather
On Saturday night we parked the car in the middle of the place in front of the Mairie, forgetting that it was the location of the Sunday morning market. When we walked to the place in the morning, the car had somehow been moved out of the way of the market stalls.
I was dying to know how the car had been moved. Via discreet inquiries by our friend C, we learned that the car had been moved by four men, two at each rear corner, raising the back wheels off the ground and rolling the car -- downhill. Apparently, the parking brake only locks the rear wheels. Easy when you know how, and have four strong men available!
The closest thing to excitement today was watching the rapid changes in the weather. These ominous clouds behind the Mairie didn't turn into the thunderstorm that we expected.
We'll stay in a hotel at CDG airport tomorrow night, leaving Wednesday afternoon for home, via Reykjavik and Seattle.
It's been a great trip!
P.S. No special effects were used for the photo.
