Bank holiday butterfly bothering
Well the weather wasn't great, in fact it did try and rain on us but we had a good walk around Rodborough Common. Not much flying but plenty to see if you look closely enough. The wildflowers were spectacular, the butterflies were harder to find but there (we've done worse - Oil Beetle hunting at night in sleet, Collard Hill in weather so windy we could barely stand up, Catfield Fen on a cloudy day).
Here's a lovely Wood Tiger, this and the Common Forester moths were the highlight of this afternoon of procrastination. Oh, and the ice cream. Back to all the stuff I should have been doing now.
