uurgghh!

A walk around the Hampshire countryside today with wildcardinal - stopping for a nice pub lunch obviously.

On the way home we came across an area of hedgerow completely ravaged and covered in what looked like spriders web - but on closer inspection turned out to be a mass of hundreds of catepillars. The covering wasn't web - but was silk. So not caterpillars but silkworms.

Amazing (if a little creepy). I'm allergic to catepillars so had to be careful not to touch any just in case!
