flower amethyst - a variety of amethyst formed in a slightly different way to the usual geodes... this shows the amethyst points radiating outwards (reminiscent of the petals of a flower hence the name) it's also a lot paler than one expects amethyst to be... nice specimen though - originated in Brazil
