In the country

I'm posting this for my sophisticated friends who live in the city and have culture. It's also for my friend in Canadaland where they don't have sheep but they have polar bears.

It's the village fête today. When I went out earlier the queue to get in snaked all the way up the hill and there were cars parked everywhere. When I got back the bright sunny morning had given way to rain so I don't know how it went but there were still cars everywhere. I had thought of going down to take some shots of the duck races but I'm glad I didn't; walking across the fields in the rain with a camera bag is joyless and I already had this shot as a backup.

I've had a lovely week off but it's back to work tomorrow.
