Cooking for cake club

It is my turn to provide the goodies for the work Cake club tomorrow. I bought loads of chocolate, butter, sugar and other goodies in London at lunchtime and then carted them home on the train. Had fun making date and walnut chocolate brownie, coconut and cherry chews and malteser tray bake. They all seemed to turn out well.

As they were cooling I had a long Skype call with son number one who wanted a last minute proofread and check of his essay. Finally finished at around 2 am, packed the cakes up into boxes and tins for tomorrow and staggered to bed.
