Where this is as we had taken a slight detour off our chosen route after following the directions of a very friendly local who thought we were lost.

Lost is a strong word to use however.

I think this is the entrance to MALE (pro Marlay locally) Abbey but would not like to swear to it.

But we managed to find our route back into the city of Brugge and ultimately, after a coffee followed by a light lunch in the main market square, back to our wee hotel.
