Taking Advantage

With the third day in a row of a miserable rain soaked Bank Holiday, it was heartening to see that this little mushroom had taken advantage of the wet weather to push for existence through a crack in sodden timbers.
For all the world it looked like a lady with a long neck and a bad haircut.

My paper today says that we are in for a sizzling summer. How I would love to believe that prediction, but for me I fear it is a case of hope over experience.
