Pinks

Now, I thought these hardy little plants which grow close to the shoreline were only really found in Shetland - there are areas which are carpeted with them up there, and they look glorious.

And yet here they are on the stones near Cockerham in Lancashire, bringing a beautiful pink contrast to the stones around them.
