It's birthday time

Happy birthday to me..! I feel an old 31. I was awoken early with a bedside coffee and a mega large vanilla slice with a candle on top. I was super spoilt with presents from everyone. The kids drew me pictures and bought me an array of 'weird beer'. Boo bought me a muji air thingy I've wanted for ages, aftershave, a local chefs cookbook featuring recipes that include deep fried squirrel and pig head brawn (one for the kids to enjoy...), a couple more books, a framed dead butterfly called Jezebel and my favourite, a full day bread making course..! I'm looking forward to that the most...!

We spent the morning in a local farm cafe, pigging out on super sized breakfasts. Then came home to laze on the sofa and watch Made of Stone. My birthday meal out was at the superb Goucho in town. I'd heard of it but knew nothing about it whatsoever... It was AMAZING...! The most beautiful and tastiest steak house I've ever had the pleasure of going to! I felt a touch bad that I got an expensive mix of differing steaks, but it was SO worth it..! A real treat!

It's been a great day, I've enjoyed every minute of it!
