Swap shop

This old, redundant, red telephone box in Hemingford Grey has been turned into a very useful book swap shop. The smallest library I have ever seen. Membership is open to everyone and all you need to do is leave a book to replace the one that you borrow. What a marvellous idea. I can imagine that not every neighbourhood would look after and protect such an investment. I don't think it would last long in Stevenage without being vandalised or set on fire. My brother Richard posed for this picture with a thesaurus. Sometimes he is intoxicated with the exuberance of his own verbosity.
