Paddled

As Mel says, any walk which involves a paddle in the sea is a good walk. Wandered down to the southernmost point of the Isle, stopping at the aptly named 'Sandy Beach' on the way back. We'd gone out in the rain, hoping the promise of later sun would be kept to. The benefit being that most others had been put off by the rain, so the crowds only started arriving for the walk (some very ill-equipped indeed for the bog en route) as we were already heading back.
