Sea Gooseberry

AKA ctenophores (commonly known as comb jellies).

Beach combing on Cleveleys beach near Blackpool while looking at the Sculpture Trail we came across loads of these little jellies on the beach, a search of the web came up with comb jellies.

I managed to get Young1 to pick one up first, once I knew it was safe I put one on my hand. In this other picture you can just about see one of the tentacles that it uses to catch it's food.
