Common Heath

After a day of rain, the sky lightened enough for a short stroll on the moor.

There have been hundreds of these Common Heath moths about over the last week or so; mostly very flighty. This one seemed subdued by the lower temperature of evening and remained still while I took a picture and moved on.

We're hoping for a brighter Bank Holiday day tomorrow.
