"Spanish Iris"
A perfect day for a hike so I took myself up in the mountains behind my village for a walk which goes by the name of Cerro Verde, or Green Hills.
I took loads of scenery shots but in the end I decided to go for this wild flower.
I am pretty useless at flower names and types and at first I thought it might be a wild orchid.
It is in fact a Spanish Iris, grows only on the Iberian Peninsular, on stony barren ground and only flowers April-May.
So! I am not a botanist, but I thought it looked good anyway
