Sunset Over Holyrood

Today started rather awfully, turns out I'm not 'secure' enough to take the job I was provisionally offered just before xmas, but that's financial institutions for you I suppose. Still I tried to turn the energy to something more useful and after a good scour of a number of job sites and freelance hubs I set out to pick up my new glasses.

I've been quite exited about the glasses since Thursday last week when I was told they were ready for collection but the holidays have prevented me from picking them up. Being someone who habitualy uses a computer for 8 hours a day it's been a bit tricky only being able to manage half an hour or so at a time before I get a headache but now I can return to my old ways, hurrah!

After that I walked down to the Botanics to find that despite being that at a reasonable time and that they were actually open the Rock Garden and Chinese Hill Garden are both cordoned off. These are the two places I have been trying to visit for the past 2 weeks so I needn't have bothered really :(

Instead I went up to Calton Hill to take a few pictures, I'm trying infrared film in Winter as I've only used it in Summer up until now so it will be interesting to see what they turn out like tomorrow when I get chance to develop them. I was just leaving as I remembered to get the digital out and take this for today, otherwise it would have been another picture of the cat or even dinner again.
