Portugal - Day 1

Uneventful journey and we arrived at our little apartment just after noon. We dropped thebags off and went off to explore the area. Weather forecast for this week is a mixed bag but today has been warm with some spells of sunshine. Walked along the coast road from where we are staying to the town centre of Casais and spotted this building which was just crying out to be photographed.

Ignored the restaurants on the main streets and went off the beaten track - our usual strategy. Got lucky and found a little cafe with a rooftop terrace. Shared a meze which was lovely and Di had freshly squeezed fruit juice whilst I had a couple of beers.

Back at the apartment now before heading out to dinner. Fancy some seafood. Grilled sardines me thinks.
