It's been a dramatic day for sunshine. He also trains with the "Junior COE" which is run by the Football Association of Singapore and his team was involved in a football carnival today. So sunshine played a 7 a side game this morning, and got a high boot smack in his jaw in the first half. He came off and got some ice on that injury. In the second half, he crossed from the byline and his opponent caught him with an over the top tackle that left stud marks on his leg and has kept him limping all day. Despite all that, he still went for a friend's futsal birthday party celebration in the afternoon and played two more hours of football.

Then he started complaining of a headache and nausea, so naturally I started worrying about a concussion. But after all this he started a very high fever that stayed high even after taking paracetamol. To be safe we took him to the doctor who told us probably not a concussion but to watch for dengue fever symptoms over the next couple of days. Guess who's not going to school tomorrow ...
