Loch Stiapavat

We went down the hide again today and as usual the area was jumping with birdlife. A Corncrake was calling very close-by, but it was hidden in the Iris cover. Despite being one of the key areas in Europe for these rare birds, and despite being able to hear them at numerous local spots, it is incredibly difficult to actually see these birds. Perhaps another day!
