MILL TOWN

We built our little house by the beach in Toledo, Oregon. Back in the day, before and during WWII it was home to seven or so lumber mills. The Army milled Spruce here for airplane parts. Now there is just this one paper mill. They make cardboard for boxes from old cardboard boxes, wood chips that they chip here, and wood chips brought in by truck and train. I liked this view from Depot Slough.
Oh, yes, I am back at the beach again. I have this patio floor project going, and they can't keep me away. It is still not done, but I have to go home again tomorrow. Then back again next Thursday.
