Central Park
My poor wee legs have walked for miles today. We started by walking from 42nd St all the way up to the SW corner of Central Park. Once there, we walked up through the park, through Strawberry Fields, past the fountain which we recognised from Friends, and on over to the Guggenheim before looping up around the Jackie Onassis Reservoir (that huge one you can see in the blip). This took us to 50 blocks north of our hotel!!!
From here we headed south all the way back to Times Square where we grabbed a bite to eat at Guy Fieri's American Kitchen & Bar. With some refuelling we next headed over to the Rockefeller and up the top to view Manhattan and beyond! What a view and timed well as while we descended back to street level the rain arrived. I was well impressed with my camera as I played around at the Top of the Rock and managed to zoom in and take some clear shots of the folks on the observation deck across on the top of the Empire State Building!
After all this it was time to relax back in our room and watch the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the NY Mets. Can't wait to goto the ball park tomorrow - no need to guess what tomorrow's blip will be! Right time to go and find a slice of NY pizza before bed.
