Adam Bridge

This bridge, designed by John Adam, was built to give approaching travellers an early sight of Dumfries House. Restored in the 19th and again throughout the 20th century, the bridge has in recent years suffered from accidents and vandalism. In 2007 the balustrade was removed to avoid further damage ..... the bridge will now be restored to its original appearance and returned to its full glory.
