My local pub...
The Path Tavern, established in the late 18th century, is one of the earliest drinking houses surviving in Kirkcaldy. But of much greater importance, it is hardly 100 yards from Braehead House where I live.
It is a friendly place kept busy by locals. I suspect given the location it gets very little passing trade. It serves good bar food, and has the now obligatory wide screen telly for watching sport.
It is very handy for a number of reasons. Last Saturday, for example, I had locked myself out, and had to stay in the pub for a couple of hours and wait on Barbara returning with the house key. It wasn't a problem at all!
