Dumfries House

My first visit to this beautiful estate and it will certainly not be my last. There are some lovely walks where you can see some of the original landscape design with ancient trees towering above - some providing an ideal spot for climbing! There is much evidence of new landscaping and planting in the walled garden which is not quite ready yet for the public..... that, along with a tour of the house, will be on the agenda on our next visit.
