"the pictures"

when i was a kid when we went to "the pictures" we had a choice of two , the fairworld and the odeon , the fairworld was demolished years ago and the odeon has stood empty for over twenty years (apart from a brief spell as a nightclub) this building is listed but nobody is interested in it.
