Eric Lancelot Appleby

Eric, in the centre of this shot, ran his 150th parkrun on Newcastle's town moor this morning. (He has also completed 36 elsewhere!)
Surrounded and supported by his Heaton Harrier clubmates, he was applauded all the way to the finish.

A little over two years ago, Eric was a few runs short of his 100th parkrun, when health issues forced him to stop running for a while. Now, to the delight of all who are privileged to know this fantastic octogenarian, he is anticipating his 200th parkrun.

As he loves to tell anyone, Eric's 5k PB was a very speedy 16:46 - at the age of 57 !!
A truly inspirational gentleman.
