The Mackintosh building Glasgow School of Art

Today was awful, the iconic Mackintosh building of Glasgow School of Art was on fire, the smoke could be seen across Glasgow. We were very emotional as we have spent lots of time in the building with Will and Dan at art classes over the last three years and only a few weeks ago the boys had their work exhibited there. This is the classic library gasping for survival. The fire and rescue services were on the scene within 4 minutes and thankfully everyone was evacuated safely.

Today was also the final day for students to complete their artwork ready for their degree shows and they had to leave it inside the building. We were listening to their stories and people talking about their time spent there.
