Macquarie Valley
I accompanied my son to Orange ( which is a city about 54km away) where we bought a double pram for his younger two children aged 2 and 7 weeks. His wife stayed home with the baby. He drove so I had the opportunity to take some photographs on the way travelling at highway speed.
The day was hazy so the colours weren't vivid or clear until just before we descended into the valley where our city is situated on the Macquarie River. The mountains in the distance are the Blue Mountains between us and the coast ( Sydney). This is typical grazing country where they mainly stock sheep and cattle. We also saw some donkeys and horses today but nothing else to mention.
That was my third shopping expedition for the day, the first was with Maddy our 4 year old granddaughter. We purchased lace to make a dolls dress. The second trip was to Aldi where we did our weekly grocery shop. The third was to Orange. Unfortunately the only decent baby goods store closed in Bathurst so we had to go out of town. I prefer to use the local businesses if possible to keep money in the local community but if they close the shops we don't have a choice.
