Feathers

Here's our granddaughter proudly holding two feathers she collected while visiting one of our large city parks. This park has a pond where geese and ducks congregate, so it was not too difficult to find feathers lying on the ground.

The highlight of our outing was watching a goose with her family of little goslings. Our granddaughter discovered that most animals are born in spring, while humans can be born at any time of year. That prompted a conversation about her upcoming birthday ;)
