Before democracy ..

.. we were ruled by kings and queens. And the occasional civil war in which there were battles. One of Scotland's civil war battles was fought at Langside in Glasgow and lasted 45 minutes. Mary, Queen of Scots, lost and went to England. She never came back.

Today, I helped move Bec into her new flat near the monument of the Battle of Langside. And there was some blue sky which was very welcome.
