Celebrated 39th with geese and mts.!

January 2nd 1971 we were taking our vows and 39 years later we are now taking wows:) Wow...look at this....wow...look at that ha ha. Since our mutual friend Paul was visiting with his companion Kate yesterday---see them in collage from Jan. 2nd. we decided to celebrate our anniversary by a trip to seek out the snow geese that migrate here yearly. We drove up to the Conway area on Fir Island. We saw many geese right next to the freeway but with no safe pull off place. We took the Conway exit and then back roads on the "hunt". I saw some and veered us quickly off road and up to a viewing site. But it turned out to really be the HUNT and there were several guys all in chamo... suits with rifles and duck horn kazoos I guess. The snow geese I saw turned out to be their decoys--LOL--at me. Big R had to point that out to me as he was laughing at my excitement to "shoot" them with my camera. Not to be so we hightailed it out of there and found some real snow geese at another lovely spot. Mt. Baker was also out so clearly so I was able to blip that too. Couldn't decide so I went with another collage. (obviously I'm enjoyind doing them for right now ha ha). Finished off our day at a pub with fried oyster for R and a burger for me and then a dog park for Cowboy:) A superb day.
