Jobs for a rainy day

Rain today stopped any thoughts of gardening so decided to make the best of staying indoors by getting some sewing done. My Granddaughter had brought a couple of sun dresses to alter so got them sorted.
My grandfather worked for the Singer sewing machine company and when I was 15 he bought me a machine, they were starting to convert the treadle ones to electric. I had it for years and learnt to make outfits and dresses for mum and myself and later shorts and things for my kids.

Took the dogs for a walk down Lin Dyke this morning and didn't bother to take my camera with it raining on an off and missed a great shot of 2 families of geese with goslings I could have kicked myself.
