The Jacobite Queen heads along the Caledonian Canal, passing the Dochgaroch Weir. With sightseers on board, it makes regular journeys from Inverness to Loch Ness. Sightings of Nessie are not guaranteed, but you might be lucky, so keep that camera ready.
I was lying in wait on the South bank of the River Ness, with my camera and kayak - waiting for a group of fellow kayakers to 'shoot the weir' a short distance to the left. The River Ness effectively starts at this weir, and is only a few miles long. It meets the sea at Inverness, and within sight of the Kessock Bridge.
