Pink Weigela Hortensis and Weather beaten pansies

I have been to Acccrington and Oswaldtwistle Mills today, but took these photos when I got home.
The sun is shining now, but it has been wintry cold and with a freezing wind.
The Weigela is in the church garden and a really well established shrub that flowers each year at this time.
The pansies are so velvety but survived after much rain and cold wind.
