We met up with John to wish him a happy birthday in his bachelor-pad. Which seemed to revolve around the XBox and high-performance-car magazines. He was thinking of updating his sensible 10-year old hatchback with some kind of 2-seater monster coupe sports-car. We also have a sensible 10-year old hatchback but am not thinking of an update until either it totally dies. And then it will probably be with an equally sensible hatchback. We did lecture him on the impracticalities of driving a 2-seater car but largely to no avail.
