Tangling with the Water Snake

So over the weekend, we got a couple of calls from Corra's vet. Since we don't typically check our answering machine, it wasn't until yesterday that we got back to him. Turns out, Corra tested positive for both Lyme and Anaplasmosis. Frickin' ticks >:[ She has started a course of 28 days of doxycycline and we are off to a fantastic start ... She threw up 5 times today. Poor pup :( I am feeding her and then giving her the pill, but she doesn't seem able to keep it down. Not to mention that she is (occasionally) turning her nose up at food, which is unheard of with her. Sigh. I hate when the medicine has a worse affect than the disease (well, not that we have any idea if anything has been affected, all we know is that she has antibodies to both diseases ...). Fingers crossed that this gets better for her.
